Paint party Friday

It”s Friday!
I would like to join PPF this week for the first time in a very long time away. I’m stretching my water colour paper by cutting it in small rectangles, times are tough to find supplies! I have always chose to use the tea cup as my water container and the saucer for mixing,, it works .

I enjoy to work in pen and ink as well and it took 6 weeks for my ink to come from amazon!
Birds , blossoms and cats filled my mind this week and came to life on paper.
I hope everyone is well,
l love  to see what everyone else does and to learn their stories, everyone has a story.
Please visit everyone's work, they all work so hard to produce the beautiful creations they do and sharing our work among friends is even more important right now.

  2. Although I learned how to paint using oils, my favorite paint is now acrylics. I've never done water color but need to try. I think it's wonderful that you can do all you do with limited vision. It is something we forget to be thankful for and too often take for granted.

  4. A new medication! That is how you can paint again! And it seems, this med, does not have the awful side effects, the previous one had. Hope so!

  14. It's great that you have this creative spirit and thus have no trouble during this period when you are frequently confined indoors. Perhaps soon the supplies you need will be a little easier to obtain.

  22. Your art work is amazing Laurie. You must be so grateful to have your sight return, you have such a gift and to not be able to practice that gift must have been so hard.

  23. Thanks, Laurie, for the link to visit the Pain Party artists and see their works. While I am not a participant, it is enjoyable to see such talent displayed, including your own. I like the tea cup and saucer art supplies, rather classy for a classy artist 😀and I also hope you are able to get more supplies soon and won't have to stretch the ones you have available.

  24. I thought I left a comment earlier, but obviously I must have dreamt it. These are incredible. I'm simply THRILLED you are painting again. That's a really lovely cup and saucer to be mixing your paint and holding water in. I'm just thrilled you are painting again, dear Laurie.

  25. All of your art today is just gorgeous. I started with oils when I was a kid. My grandmother was quite an accomplished painter. It took me a life time to start painting again and now I love acrylics. Your ink and pen is really beautiful.

  26. I agree, art is a wonderful way to escape the stresses we are all experiencing these days and oh, I would love to have a talent like yours. You know, of course, that I love your Barn Owl ... I love all your birds, but as raptors have been a huge part of my retired life, I am especially drawn to the barn owl. But then, I have cats and love them too, so you have drawn me into your art world with smiles and admiration. Beautifully done, Laurie ...

  29. Hi Laurie, I finally got my internet back. Have not been on line since March 7th. My hubby went to his cancer drs. and I called the phone company(our service provider) they fixed the internet and the buzzing in our land line. Hooray. I love looking thru your paintings. You make me want to get my watercolors out again. Blessings to you and your family, xoxo, Susie
